Andor
WHY
The series based on the Star Wars universe are following each other and we really go from the excellent like the first season of The Mandalorian to the worst with Obi-Wan Kenobi. The expectation for Andor is therefore very strong but mixed with fear. Its ambition is great because it will make us discover the origins of the creation of the rebellion against the Empire and also serves as a prequel to the excellent movie Rogue One. So it’s not a surprise to find in front of and behind the camera a part of the cast of the movie. And this is a very good thing because the series keeps the qualities of Rogue One and takes its time to lay the foundations of its story. Fans of action will probably be disappointed by this beginning of the season but this slow pace really allows to give importance to all the characters and this in both sides. It’s also an excellent change with a story closer to reality and puts aside the fantastic aspect of the universe like the Jedis and the creatures. Here we are closer to the adventure with the set up of a team that must complete a suicide mission, we think about classic movies such as The Magnificent Seven or The Guns of Navarone. The cinematography is also beautiful as well as the casting. After three episodes, Andor is really a success and the tension is growing and we can’t wait to discover the sequel!
WHAT
The “Andor” series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.
