WHY
The fans of cyberpunk and Japanese animation will be delighted to discover this new Netflix series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The story takes us back to the streets of the megalopolis Night City that some of you might have discovered in detail in the excellent video game Cyberpunk 2077. The creative team of this game is naturally part of the teams that offer you this series. This universe is still as ruthless and violent as ever, so it is not to be put in front of too young eyes. For the others, the pleasure will be great with a gripping story that proposes us to follow the adventures of a street kid who has to survive in this merciless and high risk world. Fans of the game will be happy to see their favorite city and all the other elements like the dreaded cybernetic body augmentations, the different factions and corporations, the cyberpsychos, cameos and many more. There’s not a dull moment and the ten episodes fly by really fast. Don’t miss this animated adrenaline shot!
WHAT
The series tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in Night City — a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he stays alive by becoming an edgerunner — a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.
