Malignant
WHY
Before diving back into the depths of Atlantis for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, James Wan offers us an excellent horror movie with Malignant. Let’s say it right away, we feel the director completely in control with this genre for which he brought so many films like the Saw and Conjuring sagas.. The film follows Annabelle Wallis (Peaky Blinders) who is struggling with terrible visions and is being stalked by a terrifying character. We won’t tell you more before not spoiling the pleasure. The story is really well written and we let ourselves go with a great pleasure as the revelations are made as we are trying to figure out who is that mysterious killer. James Wan really enjoyed his film and multiplies the ideas of shots such as this intense pursuit in a house seen from above or the stunning circular movements which plunge our heroine in the visions of murders. All these shots are moreover sublimated by the magnificent cinematography! The fans of horror and gore will be delighted because James Wan is going to be really generous on this aspect especially during impressive fight scenes. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy this excellent show!
