Hawkeye

WHY

Marvel Studios continues to develop the adventures of the Avengers and this time it’s Clint Barton’s turn with Hawkeye! The character is not necessarily the most popular of the Avengers and is one of the few who doesn’t have any power or superhuman strength but has a really interesting cynical and sarcastic side. So we were a little less impatient to discover this series than for WandaVison and Loki. But after two episodes, we are surprised in a good way with notably an impressive opening sequence showing the battle of New York under a completely different angle since it is seen from the eyes of the young Kate Bishop. She turns out to be quite interesting and touching and her duo with Clint works very well. Clint’s cynicism and sarcasm will be at their maximum as he has to change his Christmas holidays with his kids (which will give us a nice complication of Christmas songs) to try to protect Kate who, without knowing it, has brought back to life to the mysterious Ronin. Thus awakening the interest of dangerous people wishing to take revenge. It is very interesting to see how Clint manages his life after Avengers: Endgame and his place amongst the Avengers and to see that he is still as efficient in combat even without his bow (for now)! The stakes and big villain of this series are not yet clearly established after two episodes but there is a real interest to know more, the action scenes are dynamic and the humor works very well thanks to Clint and a crazy Russian gang! Prepare your bow and embark on this excellent entertainment!
