Black Widow

WHY

This is the return of the Marvel movies since Spider-Man: Far From Home and it is especially the reunion with Scarlett Johansson in her role of Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow. The story takes place between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. But while Natasha is wanted by the U.S. government, she will have to reconnect with her little sister, the excellent Florence Pugh and her parents Rachel Weisz and David Harbour! The casting is absolutely perfect and the duo of the two sisters really works well and is really funny. Florence’s mocking side is perfect especially regarding her older sister’s superheroic pose. David Harbour’s character is really cool and touching. This family is truly the main asset of the movie as well as the various fight sequences especially with the bad guy Taskmaster. These action sequences will become more and more epic to end in a final battle that will leave you breathless! The director Cate Shortland is more used to independent films like Lore or Berlin Syndrome and this is very well felt in the quieter sequences of the film. Of course, like any self-respecting Marvel movie, don’t miss the post-credits scene!

WHAT

In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller “Black Widow,” Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina.
